What's the program like?

I know, I know. Six weeks is a long time. However, offering a six-week program allows you to receive the support you need through all three phases of the Mindful Elimination program.

Plus those wonderful antibodies, which are the proteins that your immune system makes, take around 21 to 23 days to turn over. So taking a break from the things you are sensitive to for at least that time will do your body good.

Three Phases:

Phase 1) ORIENTATION, MOTIVATION & PREPARATION

Orientation, Motivation & Preparation

PHASE ONE (WEEK 1)


The focus of phase one is to prepare your mind, body, and kitchen for a successful clean eating program. The better prepared you are; the more success you will have.

During this phase you will begin shifting your attention to cleanse-friendly foods and away from the foods that may be slowing you down. We’ll take this time to wean off of caffeine, sugar and highly processed foods. Don’t worry I’ll guide you every step of the way and offer you ways to mindfully start cutting them back and some tips full of foodie love that will make your transition much easier.

We’ll also spend a bit of this time creating a cooking environment and schedule that works well for you. I’ll make some suggestions on what you might want for your kitchen. But have no fear, no fancy kitchen equipment is required—other than a refrigerator to house your veggies and a decent blender.

Finally we’ll get down to your why by getting clear on what inspires and motivates you. We'll also explore your goals and intentions for this program. Getting clear on what truly moves you will be an invaluable asset for keeping you motivated throughout the program.




Conscious Clean Eating

PHASE TWO (WEEKS 2-3)


The second phase is the official clean eating portion of this program. For three wonderful weeks you’ll clean out your body by filling it up with delicious, wholesome foods and removing allergenic foods from your diet.

Each week you'll receive the shopping guide, suggested menu and recipes at a glance. We'll also go over the ins-and-outs of prepping for the week to reduce the work load throughout the week. Plus, you'll gain access to that weeks meditation & mindful movement practices.

Optional Deep Clean Weekends:
You'll have an opportunity for a deeper cleansing weekend at the end of week two and again at the end of week three. During that time you'll be provided with the option of eating only fruits and vegetables, smoothies, fresh juices and broths.




Mindful Integration (a.k.a. Transition)

PHASE THREE (WEEKS 4-6)


The Mindful Integration phase is where you gain the awareness you need to move into a foodie lifestyle designed just for you. You will be guided through a systematic reintroduction of foods that will help you to understand what foods are right for you. From there you'll create a personalized way of eating that fully nourishes you and supports on-going detoxification and living a life full of vitality.

Just as in Phase 2, you'll receive a suggested menu for each week along with suggestions on how to successfully introduce foods back in. The beauty of this program is that we're actually providing you with a transition menu to make the process easier.

Finally the last few days of the program will focus on how to integrate all of this new found knowledge and personal insight into your life long-term. My intention isn't simply to guide you through six weeks and then say goodbye...but to help you create a lifestyle shift that is 100% sustainable.

Everyone is moved by something.

What's moved and motivated me has shifted throughout the years. In my early days of exploring the mind & body, I was moved to heal. I was driven by just enough dysfunction to evoke a desire for something different.... something more.


Gradually what moved me shifted.

Today, I'm moved by a deep sense of awe and curiosity! I lean into my personal practice (read spiritual vow) through my work at Conscious Movements, an online and in the flesh Feldenkrais & Holistic Health Coaching studio. I use movement, mindfulness and the almighty menu to teach others how to tap into their unique bio-individualty to thrive. My primary focus is on empowering movers, shakers and mindfulness makers…. and all of those who want to be, the skills they need to move past the discomfort that is holding them back from living fully!

When does the course start and finish?
The current course starts February 19, 2017. However, once you enroll you have access for life! Heck, I'll even invite you to join in the fun when the course rolls around again next year.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Will I be hungry?
Not at all! There are no calorie restrictions with the Winter Nourishment Program. You will be encouraged to eat when you are hungry. This is not a liquids-based or supplement-based cleanse.

Plus, there are over 120 recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is room for snacks in between. Every meal is delicious and created by a fabulous chef to nourish your body from the inside out. This program is not about starvation or deprivation, and we are not counting calories or dwelling on carbs. You will feel satisfied with every bite. If you do get hungry, there are extra snack recipes included!
Will I have to spend a lot of time cooking?
This program does require a bit of effort in the kitchen. This means that you will have to go grocery shopping, do some meal planning, and yes….cook! However, what you cook does not have to be complicated or gourmet, you can eat as simply or as complex as you want to.

You don’t have to spend long hours in the kitchen preparing food, but you do need some basic cooking skills. Luckily for you, we're going to help you learn how to utilize a prep-day! Plus, learning to cook is as easy as reading a recipe and your Nourishing cookbook is packed with amazing recipes that will likely become family favorites!
Are there any dangers of removing sugar from the diet?
Refined sugar is not a nutritional requirement and in fact it robs the body of nutrients. There are no known dangers caused by not consuming sugar (hint: it’s how humans lived for thousands of years)
Will I get bored eating sugar free foods?
No way! While there are some juices and smoothies for you to choose from, you will also be eating salads, soups, and even desserts that are delicious and nutritious and will eliminate toxins from your body in a safe and natural way.
Do I have to take any additional supplements or pills?
Not in this program!! The only supplement I recommend that everyone take on a daily basis is a probiotic, and you’ll learn why in this program.
How will I feel during the program?
You are going to feel so healthy and energized it will amaze you! In the beginning, your body may go through a “healing phase” to re-balance and let go of toxicity. It is important to listen to your body through this program, and I will be here to support you with that. I will guide you step by step through exactly what can be done to reduce any unwanted symptoms that may appear. This program is completely flexible because we’re here to figure out what works for YOU!
Can I do this program if I’m pregnant or nursing?
It’s always important to seek the guidance of your healthcare provider before changing your diet or movement regimen, and this would be no exception. In general, it is not advisable for a pregnant or lactating woman to induce any type of detox, as the body’s reactions can affect the baby.
I already eat super clean, can I still benefit from this?
Many people who eat very clean already still have room to empty out the pipes with an elimination diet and take their healthy habits to the next level. Changing up the foods we eat gives our digestion time to rest and reset, which can be helpful for anyone regardless of their current eating habits.
I have a medical condition, is it still safe for me to do this program?
While this program is based on eating only whole foods, it is still advised that you consult your physician before beginning this or any program.

The Mindful Elimination Program is based on the idea that there is no such thing as a “one size fits all program.” Instead, it is designed to meet you at your starting point where you are and guide you to making small, slow and simple adjustments to your current eating habits.

The Mindful Elimination Program is different from other programs out there because we eat a diet free of all common allergens. Eliminating allergens helps reduce inflammation in the body, which is the root of many ailments. At the end of the program, you will explore reintroducing these foods back into your diet (if you so choose) to find out for sure how they affect you personally. This gives you the foundation you need to create a nourishing lifestyle based on your own bio-individuality. The results can be life-changing. No kidding!
